SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
At St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, we believe that every child is unique, valued and loved by God. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all children feel happy, supported and able to achieve their full potential.
We understand that, from time to time, children may need additional support with their learning, communication, friendships, emotional wellbeing or physical needs. Our aim is to identify any barriers early and work closely with families to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.
Our Inclusion Team works alongside teachers, support staff, families and external professionals to help every child feel successful, confident and fully included in school life.

Miss Clare Strudwick
Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and SENDCo Miss Strudwick oversees SEND provision across the school and works closely with children, families, staff and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

Mr Dean Ferrito
Learning Mentor Mr Ferrito provides pastoral support and works with children to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive engagement with school.
Ms Ana Andrade The SEND Governor works with school leaders to ensure SEND provision is effective and meets the needs of our pupils.
