In the event of a whole school closure, our school will make continuing provision in the following ways:

• Children from Year 1–6 will be taught online via Google Classroom. In the event of needing this platform, log ins will be sent to pupils via Parent Mail.
• Teachers in Year 2–6 will deliver live lessons to children in the morning and home learning activities will be set for children to complete independently in the afternoons.  Videos and work for children in Year 1 will be posted on Google Classroom.  Teachers in EYFS will post videos and activities on Tapestry.
• Families who are unable to access suitable technology will receive support from the school to access a borrowed device if available.
• If a suitable device cannot be collected or family circumstances do not allow for children to participate in online learning, a learning pack will be available to be collected from school.

• Weekly phone calls will be arranged to support children’s learning and to monitor their wellbeing for those unable to participate in online learning.

Parents & Carers Are Responsible For:

• Ensuring that children are able to access the Home Learning printed resource pack and, where possible, they have a suitable space to do this from.
• Ensuring children have access to online learning or make contact with school to request use of additional resources. E.g. laptops.

Communication

Communication between school and home will predominantly be carried out via Google Classroom.  Children in years 2–6 will receive live lessons each day from their class teacher.  Parents will be able to communicate with teachers through Google Classroom or Tapestry in EYFS.  The school phone line will continue to be in use during normal opening hours, regardless of any school closure.
